Couldn't tell ya. I caught about 8 minutes of an ep and the 40 year olds were acting like 20 year olds.

I've been on the receiving end a few times myself. I know how it feels, so I wouldn't want to do that to someone else.
Right, and I'll let that shit pass when it's a teenager and they just don't know any freaking better, but if it's a grown woman than you simply can't live life right if you're unable to honestly confront friendly people with negative news.

I was just joking around earlier but thinking about this garbage is getting me a little riled.

Ugh.

Edit: If you want to watch some unwatchable dating shit, try watching some show they play late on MTV where a teenager's parents hate the teen's romantic other, so they select people for their offspring to compete against for his/her affection.

It's absolute nails on a chalkboard.

**** that. I'm always totally cool when I get shut out. I never harrass the shutter, I never get upset and rampage, I never confront them at their place if I know where they live.

And that shit's really hard. When someone does something rude to you simply because they can and you'd literally suffer no consequences if you were a dick to them about it... resisting that urge is a lot harder than I'm given credit for.

Most of the time it just rolls off your back, but then you sit down and think about how you took her on a date, treated her decently, gave her something fun to do on a weekend night, even paid for everything, and she can't return the courtesy of telling you that while she had a good time, she simply doesn't think things should progress.

I love how chicks always listen to ****ing pop music that's always so empowering. It's songs about honesty and true love and how you don't need a man to make you powerful or whatever the hell pop music is saying these days. But when a moment comes where you have to tell a nice guy something he might not want to hear, they wilt like stale fruit.

Morons.

Because I've been shy for a portion of my life, and I certainly don't make it a habit to hurt people's feelings unless they're Bronco fans. But that's why I actively tell them I'm not interested.

You'd have to be a special kind of stupid to think that just shutting someone out is easier on them than simply telling them you're not interested.

Honesty is obviously the best way to go, but I'd rather have nothing instead of the crap some girls make up... my 'favorite' was one a while back from a 27yo who said "I can't go out for a while" a few days after a first date.

So, do you think 6 months is long enough? :-) (j/k)

Hmmm... I've gotten that a couple times, too.

I don't know what's worse, the woman who'll confront you but has to make it easier on herself by transparently lying, or the woman who can't muster up the personal strength to even lie so she just shuts you out completely. Both are the equivolent of a turtle hunching up in its shell at the slightest scent of danger.

You have to cast a wide net these days when you're on the scene, otherwise you're SOL. But that usually means you have to wade through a lot of bullshit to find the ones you like.

If you're anything like me, you bottle that shit up inside, and then end up exploding on some innocent person who you consider a friend. That's happened in the recent past for me, and I felt like a complete tool afterward. I imagine it's even harder for a guy. They are usually the ones dependent on keeping the conversation going, paying for things, driving, etc.

That's another thing. In addition to having a night out and the luxury of being paid for and everything, chicks sometimes literally just sit there and have the poor asshole taking them out drive conversation that's personal while being appropriate, cute without being schmaltzy, and polite without being bland.

That's a toughest job of dating, if you ask me, not the politics of a breaking up.

I've gotten much better about that. The last few dates I've been on, I was the one who actually had to keep the conversation going. I had this fear of being the overly quiet person. Now, I have to worry about not boring them to tears. Hey, if they don't want to contribute, they take what they get!

Any time I feel like I have to pry conversation out of someone, **** it. It's over. Best I can do is be polite enough to maybe get action at the end of the date.
