Not really in this case. If they wanted to keep him long term, they absolutely can. They obviously don’t love the fit in this defense and they probably don’t trust his long term health prospects. [Reply]

That’s funny coming from them considering Rodgers salary. The bigger issue with Ford is I don’t think the Chiefs believe his performance in 2018 is sustainable. He has injury history. 2018 seemed like a typical “contract year” performance. [Reply]

KC DOES need to shed salary to sign Hill and Mahomes, so there’s that.
