About to hit the 5000 post mark on the old thread, the first season 7 trailer today seems like the right time to start the final Game of Thones thread.
I'm going back to the original rules pre-2015. I don't think we need supervision or bannings. Just don't be a dick. Post anything you find online that hasn't aired yet inside of spoiler tags. That's pretty much it. I think we can all handle that...
Say what you will about the rest of the episode, but John Bradley and Kit Harrington slayed the Aegon reveal scene. Tonight we saw Jon get told of his true identity and that he’s the heir to the iron throne after 7 seasons of waiting.
I got chills watching Sam give Jon his true title with Lyanna and Ned standing behind them. Everything about that scene. The location, the build up, and emotion in John and Kit, and the actors chosen for that scene were flat out perfect.
In terms of the series’ big picture, them nailing that scene is a sign that they’re staying on course for the ending. [Reply]
Did anyone else notice the scene depicted on one of those golden band thingies that usually have the Stark, Baratheon, Targaryen and Lannister sigils? One looked like a man holding up a severed head.
Theon showing up at Winterfell will be interesting. He bought some big chips by getting Sansa away from Ramsey but you'd think John Snow, Aria, and some Northern lords would want to kick him in the nuts. [Reply]

He’s good with the right people. Jon already got to kick him last season [Reply]

Seriously, Dany without advisers is a freaking idiot and politically retarded. Tywain or Littlefinger would of danced circles around her.
I am happy we’re seeing her face the direct consequences of her decision there. Tyrion was ruthless to her about that choice and she shrugged him off with zero repercussions in Season 7.
Those consequences may be coming, for better or worse. [Reply]
I completely missed the reference about who Bran was waiting for until reading this thread. That was great.
I also found it to be rushed overall. It’s really hard to let anything breathe or develop in such a short amount of time. Hopefully that’s just with this episode since they had to get so many characters in place to set up the rest of the season. [Reply]
