Thanks. I really wish i could lure them out during the day and just let my 7 years old plink them with the old 10/22 but that will work.

Plinking them is a better choice, but not always that easy.

You can in the evenings with some practice. Get a coon squaller and let him go at it. I know a really good guy who makes them if you'd like the contact info, but I think they cost over $50 now that his calls have become more popular.

I started to share this story earlier, but didn't, and then it got even better.

During youth season a ~9 year old boy from a good family shot a very very nice deer. It quickly spread all over social media locally. A company was hosting a big buck youth contest on Monday, so he and his dad left school early and ran down to get entered. The deer ended up measuring 201" and some change. There was an awards presentation where he won a shoulder mount, a bronze trophy head, and a nice rifle with a scope. When they gave the gun to him he turned around and donated it back to them so they could give it away to one of the other kids.

I don't know that I know too many 9 year olds who would have even considered doing something like that. It just shows that there are still some good ones coming down the pipe that are being raised right. :-)

Outstanding, simply OUTSTANDING!!!

Now, get a Sous Vide machine and make a roast from that buck using the Sous Vide method. You won't regret it. PM me if have any questions.

Any deer hunters getting strays on camera? I've got two new guys that have shown up checking scrapes in the last 4 days. Also anyone good with aging bucks?
