I rewatched that this weekend. I had remembered Montana going out as a bad thing but he sucked ass in that game. They should have started krieg from the beginning. [Reply]

The Chiefs left 11 points on the field in the first half.
Tim Barnett dropped a touchdown, and the Chiefs settled for 3 on their first possession.
Kimble Anders dropped a touchdown that turned into a pick to end the half.
It was a 20-13 game going into the fourth quarter.
The Chiefs would have won if with Montana if it had not been for those two drops. I BILLieve that. [Reply]

Uhhhh.... no. Go rewatch the Pittsburgh game. He started out playing crappy in that one, too. Hell, now that I think about it, I'm pretty sure he started poorly against the oilers, as well. Joe would have gotten it together.
And Krieg? He was the chiefs QB who couldn't manage to score a single point in the previous year's playoffs. [Reply]
