Nzoner's Game Room>Allergies
TLO 01:56 PM 08-14-2012
I knew I had some serious issues with allergies, but typically they are worse in the spring. But the last few days have been absolutely miserable. Anybody else fighting with their allergies right now? Any suggestions on relief?

I believe that was a part of the cocktail, but it's a mix of 3 or 4 steroids. Maybe unique to Doctor Graham's practice? He's in Lenexa on college and 7hwy.

Neti pot
Shower every night before you go to sleep
Take an allergy decongestant

If it keeps bothering you year after year, take allergy shots

Boom

I thought I was allergic to something natural in the environment, but it turned out to be certain foods causing my reaction. I went to an allergy specialist who had my blood dipped into 40 different foods, whereby I got a computer print-out showing the degree of reaction. Once I de-tox'd from those foods, then desensitized, followed by a rotation diet while staying away from certain foods permanently, I not only had no more reactions when visiting family in New England in summer or spring or to cats. This allergist told me, it can be food you're eating making your reaction to certain environmental factors either worse or there in the first place.

Best thing of all, is I don't need any medication for it anymore. And I feel better with more energy too.

Up until last year my allergies were horrible and after seeing an allergist I was on numerous meds that helped some, she even had me getting a shot once a week.So last year I'm talking to a pharmacist at of all places Wal-Mart and he suggests getting off everything and trying this 80 cent box of pills they have simply called Allergy Relief.

To this point I've felt better than I have in years,go figure.

Nothing at all like benedryll. Not even in the same universe. It's a 24 hour pill, so take it at night and everything is cool.

Is the active ingredient loratadine? If so, you just bought generic Claritin. I'm not a big fan of Claritin. It works for a lot of people but doesn't do much for me.
