I think you cant use the argument one way and ignore it the other. That's called hypocrisy.

I dunno

I basically go to work and go home. I couldn’t really tell you what’s happening out and about

Outdoors? Maybe not normal but it seems to be pretty safe masked up. If the protests were causing huge problems shouldn't Portland hospitals be completely overwhelmed right now?

I've always been in the camp that outdoors is pretty safe and cities are dumb to limit outdoor activities - even w/o masks if you can get a little distance and aren't screaming in someone's face. The Ozarks party didn't bother me that much in itself. But all the drinking and casual sex that comes later is probably an issue.

Not all of them. To suggest otherwise is disingenuous.

You’re also talking about A LOT more people and protests.

My kids had Hockey last night, Soccer tonight, work is pretty much the same I am normally too busy to hang out with friends or socialise anyways so other than masks it is pretty much back to normal.

Our beaches are still closed. Seems outdoor policies are a mixed bag of opinions.

Sure you can but one of those sounds more racist than the other.

Slower than normal today, eh?

So we can all mask up and essentially go back to normal?

What can't you do today that was normal before, albeit masked up?

Over 99% in the pictures I've seen.

Now what would you say the % is among the anti-mask protestors?

99% compliance is still a lot better than zero.

Based on all the research I've seen, unless you're wearing a properly fitted respirator, masks aren't necessarily an end all be all. They help, a good amount, so I recommend wearing one. Even if it's marginal, any little bit helps.

I actually agree, that the outside stuff is just dumb. If you're at the beach, outside, your risk is just miniscule.

It's the messaging I'm talking about. I don't even have a problem saying the protests were warranted for racial disparity. But you can't be for one and not the other then get upset when people check out.
