Media Center>Who here has the oldest functional computer?
'Hamas' Jenkins 06:43 PM 10-09-2019
I've been reading about the history of the development of the Internet lately and it got me to thinking about refrigerator-sized computers of the late '60s, mainframes, and even the first PCs connecting to nascent networks.

It led me to consider buying an ancient PC just to mess around with it, and in that regard, I wondered who among us has the oldest working machine and what they use it for.

Or it was functional when i put in storage in my garage a few years back. Scored 2 of them and a bunch of games from my old science teacher when i was about 13 years old. Still have it.

Favorite game? MASH~
I came here to say I had a TI-99/4A and i was still beat to the punch

Besides that I keep a PIII laptop running win2k and a g4 Mac tower with OS 9 on it I believe that I keep around for classic gaming as well but the Ti-99/4a hits me right in the nostalgia

Actually I think that expired a few months ago?

I need to upgrade though so if it’s still free let me know!

Mid 90s Mac called the Performa 475, from a brief period where Apple sold some models through retailers like Sears. Giant 160MB hard drive. I still fire it up every year or two to play Marathon or Maelstrom.

Have this from another forum. I am going to try it on the next long break I have.

Officially yes Microsoft stopped the free upgrade to Windows 10 a long time ago. But it still works:
