After a season ending injury in the final preseason game as a rookie, second-year WR Byron Pringle has been thriving and taking first-team reps at Chiefs OTA’s. One of my favorites from the 2018 NFL Draft is seemingly ready for a breakout.
Another good nugget - Toub on WR Byron Pringle on special teams: "He's really looking good right now. He like took it to another level. We're really excited, the way he looks right now."
Two wide receivers are standing out, and they are Byron Pringle and Cody Thompson. Pringle is speedy, looking to be back in full health since his hernia surgery last year. Pains me to say it (), but I like Thompson more than Jamal Custis right now at OTAs.
Byron Pringle is the young Chiefs wide receiver taking advantage of the extra practice snaps afforded by the absences of Tyreek Hill and Sammy Watkins. “He’s played fast,’’ wide receivers coach Greg Lewis said. “He’s played physical and he’s plucking... https://t.co/j8agJgY7FZ

edit: and cutting Colquitt to save a million or two is stupid when we're nowhere near the cap
But they are set up to have to dump salary basically following the 20 season..there will probably be a strike and honestly that'll help but going forward if they can find cheaper viable options it has to be looked at.
A 37 year old punter could honestly hit the wall and lose power. [Reply]

Not to mention, he did play great in the probowl. If he can get a few more snaps at tight end, I say go for it.
He seems like he has decent/Good hands too. [Reply]

Sly Fox gonna' have his own KCFX radio sit down every week where ALL the inside dirt gets brought to light! [Reply]
People considering dumping Colquitt need some nails driven down their dong holes, or turned upside down and their vaginas filled with concrete so that your unfathomable stupidity cannot be passed into offspring.
Cut one of the best punters ever to save a buck. Field position is still important. Revamped d could be same as old d. You dont toss talent that helps a defense that needs all the help it can get.
Mighty Mahomes was shut out first half of AFC title game. We arent at a point where we disregard elite punting.
Some of you seem to have forgotten the shitshow train of punters we had before Colquitt. [Reply]
I don't really think they'll cut him but we're probably getting close to that because this team will be looking to open money before long and a 3 million dollar punter will seem like a lot. [Reply]

Plenty of teams win with good punting. Elite punting is 100% unnecessary.
However, it is also unnecessary to cut him, unless you intend to improve your team with that savings elsewhere, or if he's falling off the cliff. [Reply]
Anyone worried about it should realize for Colquitt to get cut this guy would literally have to be better every single day of camp and absolutely beat him out, if it's close Colquitt is gonna win the job. [Reply]
