Thanks!

If the reports of these antibody tests are correct, there were a couple hundred thousand people infected in these areas in mid march. Yet hospitals weren't really over run. I'm not being smarmy or anything, but waht the hell is going on in NY that it hit so much harder there?
All I can think of is viral load maybe? That people were and are just so continually exposed to it that it is just overwhelming.

They definitely are skewing the numbers

There are for sure multiple respiratory viruses every year. I'm not sure they cause bilateral pneumonia and symptoms like this though.

Right, be a smart ass about it. It's damn sure something to keep in consideration when talking about all the not flu / flu like cases.

So far, Ken Lewis played LB for Wichita State back in the 80's. Died from it the other day. Knew him, can't say we were great friends, but I knew him a bit. Two old friends of mine from work had it hit close as well - David lost his dad, and Anders lost his wife. Another teammate from work recovered and told me about his experience in ICU n Westchester County.

I don't need it striking closer to me. Stay safe, fellas.

Yes there was infections in January and February. They have already confirmed that via autopsys this past week because I posted the article and Gavin Newsom has ordered a review of all CA deceased going back to December.

If you think that was being a smart ass maybe you need to go to your safe place and gather all your sensitive feelings together for a calming group hug, maybe some warm milk would help too.

That's being a smartass.

Now, like I said, there are a lot of flu like not the flu shit that goes around every year. It's something to take into consideration before you lump all of them together with CV.

Sorry, you were being a condescending smart ass. Is that better?

And please spare me the lecture. We all know that kind of shit happens every year. But you can't rule this out just because of that. No one said to lump them all together. Quit reading into what I said and read what I said in the context of which I said it.

Well, I guess we hope that the record daily new case growth yesterday was due to increased testing. And an outlier.

Lets hope so.. Find out more in the upcoming weeks.

What will be more interesting is to see what happens as states ease the social distancing.
