About to hit the 5000 post mark on the old thread, the first season 7 trailer today seems like the right time to start the final Game of Thones thread.
I'm going back to the original rules pre-2015. I don't think we need supervision or bannings. Just don't be a dick. Post anything you find online that hasn't aired yet inside of spoiler tags. That's pretty much it. I think we can all handle that...

just imagine the outrage when Jon, privileged white male, kills Dany to save the seven kingdoms...
Not to mention all those folks who named their kids Danaerys or Khaleesi, only to have the show end not with her winning, but turning into the Mad Queen and getting murdered :-)
Not that I thought/think she should win. But fuck at least do a good job of it. She's spinning around like a fucking top.
Christ I hope Martin lives long enough to finish the books so I can hopefully just forget I ever saw any of this.
Spoiler!
Oh, I don't know. I would find the mass triggering amusing. :-)
Saw an interview with them last week. They said they'll be off in an undisclosed location drinking wine with their wives during the finale, completely out of reach.

That one seems fake-y to me, particularly who's on the small council. I read another one that seems more likely. Still awful, either way. [Reply]

I guess saying this must mean I suck, but this doesn't really bother me all that much. I mean seriously, was anybody expecting a happy ending from from that miserable old bastard? Plus, Daenerys has been giving off Mad King vibes since shit starting going sideways on her last season. Kind of a fitting end for her, IMO.

I think it's more the 'surprise! everybody loses!' bit that bothers me. That and literally not a single character learns anything over the course of the series. ****ing everybody is doing the same dumb shit they did from the very beginning. Except maybe Sansa, who evidently got sense raped into her.
That's our story? Why the **** did we need 8 seasons to get that across?
If this is how the books go...I can't even. It can't be.
I can’t pinpoint why exactly but that episode was terrible. The dragon ambush (they didn’t think they would be ambushed going south?), bronn scene, tormund doesn’t get the girl, the gossiping, Jon doesn’t seem like the leader he was, there’s still no plan to get Cersei etc. [Reply]

I think they're all kind of staying true to their natures.
Daenerys - I. WANT. IRON. THRONE. Rinse. Repeat.
Tyrion's Achilles heel is his endless quest to bring out the good in his twisted ass evil sister despite a lifetime of abuse. If Qyburn hadn't been out there with him she'd have had her archers turn him into a stupid little pin cushion.
Jamie - hopelessly caught in Cersei's web.
Sansa has basically become a non-evil version of Littlefinger.
Arya just wants to be her nasty little assassin-in-the-name-of-good self.
Jon - great and noble warrior who is too dumb to effectively manage a gas station, with such a hard on for the truth that he'd get burned to a crisp if Dany asked him if her fur cloak made her ass look too fat. [Reply]
