Nzoner's Game Room>Red Dirt Juke Box
Iowanian 04:41 PM 01-13-2015
In several discussions about music, several posters bring in Red Dirt Music to the conversation.

In this thread, I'd like to do things a little different to help people learn about our favorite artists, and post a couple of youtube videos of their song and your personal favorite playlist of that artist.
Feel free to include your own contributions, but follow the format. Videos of live performances, and list a few of your favorite songs.

I've met a few of these guys and have had beers with some of them, so I'll share stories and nuggets that they've told me. It's fine if you have a different take of the same artists or offer a different playlist.

Happy listening.

Agreed. Great band behind him too. The music is really incredible at times. Really draws you in. He's got a great range. Reminds me a lot of Sturgill Simpson.

Not a huge red dirt fan but I do really like Whiskey Myers, Turnpike Troubadours, Chris Stapleton, and the Randy Rogers Band.

Glad you like it Buehler. His voice is pretty top notch.

I think I've shared this here before but in case someone missed it. Ryan Bingham. The first one is my favorite.

Yeah, I've posted Bingham before. Southside of Heaven is really good.

Not red dirt but saw Eric Church last night. Great show. 39 songs and 3+ hours of music. Very smooth live voice. Good stuff.

Here's some Texas/red dirt artists I love that I haven't seen mentioned on here: Flatland Cavalry, William Clark Green, American Aquarium, Sam Riggs (his first album only really), Bart Crow, Zane Williams, Curtis Grimes is decent, and of course Wade Bowen. Just my little list off the top of my head that I didn't immediately see in the thread.

Can’t get past the Travis Tritt sound of this voice.

It’s like I heard this in the 90s. It really doesn’t help my listening experience.
