A minor point, but several times an allusion to Priest in Baltimore has been made by Steeler fans...a very subtle way of downgrading what is the best RB in the NFL....this is obvious, but here goes: the KC Priest compares to the Balt. Priest the way a smart bomb compares to a fire cracker...if you haven't watched Priest the last two years you are in for the shock of your life, and....and, you won't believe me when I say this, "Oh, typical home bs...", but it doesn't matter because it is a fact: Priest is faster now than last year...I didn't believe it myself until I saw it over and over again, but it is true and amazing....so anyways, sell Priest short, he LOVES that!....but the real reason it makes no sense to mention Balt. (actually there are 2, bear with me) is the system...this not your Marty's offense...it is hi-tech, efficient and unconcerned with human emotion...my re-occurring theme for the year is going to be: RESPECT AL SAUNDERS!....opposing fans never mention his name and yet, he is the key...the best, imo, offensive coordinator in the League, he excels at taking defenses apart and is even as we speak in the lab creating plays and variations of plays and variations of variations of plays JUST FOR PITTSBURGH...he knows no mercy and DV has said several times that Saunders always wants to go for the kill, while DV is much more measured...whew!...where are we? oh yeah, point #2: The OL...best in the NFL. Period. Roaf swallows players whole like jalapeno cheese poppers and Shields and Waters are the Starski and Hutch(huh?) of pulling guards...but seriously, our OL routinely makes blocks 10 yards down field and they and Priest operate like one Borg mind assimilating all before them...whatever happens I promise you will come back here after the game and say, "Wow, your OL is unbelievable..." because they are...like it or not we ARE going to run against you, around you, and through you...I've not yet seen the DT that can beat Will Shields for 4 quarters...doesn't happen....so, now that my minor objection has been heard, let me end by saying: I think Pittsburgh is a good team and they are the favorites in this game, they have been to the playoffs and earned their respect while we are still earning ours...I know we can win, I think we will, but I won't be surprised if we don't because until we prove it on the field Pittsburgh is the better team.

We'll know after Sunday if our D is for real. Krikes am I ready for some football.
Not to mention that he punked them with regularity even when he was with the Ravens. I don't know the numbers, but I saw something where he had the highest average [in some for, yards per carry, or total yards per game] of any RB ever against the Steelers while in Balt.

You know, now that I think about it...Im kind of jealous of Steeler fans. I mean look at that cake walk division. At least 4 'expansion' team wins almost every year until the NFL re-aligned. My God, think about how easy it would be for KC to make the playoffs with a guaranteed 4-0 start to every season.

I forgot to ask SDS how he like stealing Todd Peterson from us last year. *snicker*

Not only that, but Holmes routinely had 100+ yard games vs. Pitt when he was in Baltimore.

Quote from Priest:

"Defense looked awesome, didn't it?" he asked. "People asked me, `How's the defense going to look?' And I told them, `Come out to the game and see for yourself.' "

He smiled. He looked around the empty locker room.

"They all left, huh?" (the reporters) he asked. "See, there's a reason I won't do interviews for a while. In my mind, all these people had opinions about me before this game. They all decided to run with their opinions -- `Priest is done,' `Priest will never be the same,' `Priest isn't worth the money,' all that.

"Well, they didn't talk to me then. They did just fine without me. So why do they need me now? They have all sorts of opinions about me. Fine. They can take another stab at it."

Come on Steelers run with your opinions - take a stab at the man.
Priest is on a mission baby and Sunday your gonna get rolled up on.
And our defense is gonna light up Tommy all day.

Steelers 10
Chiefs 36 4 TDs (1 turnover TD) 2 FGs 1 Saftey (2nd Qtr)

Bring on Holmes because our LBs are the best in the NFL and we will show little Holmes what Steeler football is like. I can't wait to come back here and read all of the remarks about how Black and Gold came into your house and dominated. No one on your offense is all that great. Holmes is turning out to be a very good back but he's not going to be one of the elite against one of the best run defenses in football. When you got guys like Kendrell Bell knocking RBs on their tails, Holmes better look out! He's going to remember when the Steelers use to stick it to him when he was a member of the Ravens. Trust me, the Steelers have the experience to COME INTO YOUR HOUSE AND TAKE THIS GAME...

Burress is going to eat up your secondary! What is your team going to do to stop all of our weapons on offense? We've assembled a GREAT OFFENSIVE TEAM and I know that the Chiefs aren't going to know what him them come 4:00pm on Sunday...

You claim that your O-line is the best and this and that but where has it gotten you? Yes, 1-0 thus far but wait until Sunday! You boys from KC are finally going to realize that the Steel Men from Pittsburgh are going arrive and send the Chiefs back to the drawing board...

HERE WE GO STEE-LERS, HERE WE GO!

Oh good Lord...that's terrible. Here:

As you can see from the calendar, the game is coming up this weekend. I'm sure you are as excited for it as I am, as our cities are rivals and have been for quite some time. Your confidence in your team is high, but rest assured, you will suffer humiliation when the sports team from my area defeats the sports team from your area.

On numerous occasions, you have expressed the conviction that your area's sports team will be victorious. I must admit that every time I hear you make this proclamation, I react with both laughter and disbelief. "Ha!" I say to myself with laughter. "What?!" I say to myself in disbelief. How could you believe that your sports team could beat my sports team? It is clear that yours is inferior in every way.

When the sporting contest begins, the players on your team will be treated as though they are inconsequential. It will be remarkably easy for my team to accumulate more points than yours. There are many reasons for this, starting with the inferior physical attributes of the players representing your area. Strength, speed, and agility are just three of the qualities that the players on the team from your area lack. The players representing my area, on the other hand, have these traits in abundance.

I would not be a bit surprised if the individuals on the team from your area were sexually attracted to members of their own gender. That is how ineffective they are on the field of battle.

Underscoring your team's inferiority is its choice of colors. It is ludicrous to believe that your team's colors inspire either respect or fear. Instead, they appear to have been chosen by someone who is colorblind or, perhaps, bereft of sight altogether. The colors for my team, on the other hand, are aesthetically pleasing when placed in proximity to one another. They are a superior color combination in every way.

While we are on the subject of aesthetics, let us compare the respective facilities in which our teams play. While my team's edifice is blessed with architectural splendor and the most modern of amenities, yours is a thoroughly unpleasant place in which to watch a sporting contest. I know of what I speak, for I once attended a game between our respective teams in your facility. Let's just say the experience left me wishing that my car was inoperable that day due to mechanical problems, rendering it impossible for me to get to your area to attend the game.

If you need another reason why the sporting franchise representing my area is superior, look no further than the supporters for the two sides. Not only are the supporters of the team from my region more spirited, but they are also more intelligent and of finer breeding than you and the rest of your ilk. In addition, the female supporters of the team from my area possess more attractive countenances and figures than yours. Some of the women from my side that I have observed could make a living by posing for pictures for major men's magazines. The women who cheer for your team, I'm afraid, are far too unattractive to do so.

One of the more pathetic aspects of the team from your area is the fact that only people in your immediate area possess an affinity for it. By means of contrast, the team from my area inspires loyalty and affection in individuals who live in many other geographic locations.

To illustrate this point, let me tell a brief story: Recently, I was on vacation in an area of the country far away from my own, and I saw many individuals wearing items of clothing that bore the insignia of my team. I approached one such individual and asked him if he originated from my area. He said no, explaining that he simply liked the team from my area and had for many years. Interestingly enough, during this trip, I saw no clothing or other paraphernalia bearing the insignia of your team.

Do you still doubt that the team from your area is inferior to the one from mine? Just look at our teams' respective histories. In the past, we have defeated you on any number of occasions. Granted, there were times when your team beat my team, but those were lucky flukes.

The day of the game will soon be at hand. And no matter how hard you pray to a higher power or how many foam accoutrements you wear in support of the team from your area, your team will be defeated. We will win and you will lose. This is your fate.

Prepare for humiliation. It shall be upon you at the designated hour.

Looking at Priests career stat, the Steelers haven't ever really "stuck it" to Priest. In fact quite the opposite.

In 6 games (Ravens) 1998 - 2000 he had 369 yards on 80 carries for a 4.61 avg.

In 1 game (Chiefs) 2001 he had 150 yards on 20 carries for a 7.50 avg.

In his career against Pittsburgh he has 519 yards on 100 carries, 5.19 avg.
