Being 6’7” is really not ideal for an edge rusher.
Better hand technique to keep OL off of his pads and locking him down as a EDGE rusher. If Kpass was a DT/DL it wouldn't be as much of an issue due to pass rush and run defense responsibilities with his raw ability. [Reply]
And then on Thursday, Reid mentioned that there were a couple of more names added to that list of guys not practicing right now, including the NFL’s reigning rushing leader Kareem Hunt.
Reid said Hunt is dealing with a hamstring strain but added that he doesn’t believe it’s anything serious. He also mentioned that undrafted free agent receiver Byron Pringle out of Kansas State isn’t practicing due to a calf strain.
Reid concluded by saying that linebacker Dee Ford, who missed most of last year with a back injury, is coming along in his rehab and is now working in individual periods, but not the team portions of practice. [Reply]
The Chiefs practiced today without LB Justin Houston and S Eric Berry. Both were absent. WR Tyreek Hill was at practice but didn’t participate because of a sprained ankle. https://t.co/Co5bk0ataG

It’s definitely easier working against a linebacker or getting open on safeties.’’

It all depends on technique. He has ridiculously long arms so he should be able to keep the tackles hands off of him (1" longer than Clowney). And while he may not always have his hand in the dirt, I would like to see him as a DE on obvious passing downs in the hope he can produce as well as guys like Calais Campbell (6'8) Clowney (6'7"), Peppers (6'7"), Bosa (6'6"), Daniel Hunter (6'6"), Carlos Dunlap (6'6"), Jared Allen (6'6"), Myles Garrett (6'5"), JPP (6'5").
