I'm not specifically bashing Fauci. He was using the data available. What I don't understand is you holding him to one standard and trump another.
armchair qb'ing on the internet over a virus....major intimidation.

What's the expectation there. We've been into the low 80 a few time the last couple of weeks. We will stay there this week forward with current humidity indicators indicating 20% humidity. It's cloudy though.

Standards? Well, when did Fauci say that this was completely under control. Would go away like magic in April. And so on.
When the pandemic expert tells you its ok if you get on a cruise ship if you're a healthy young person on 3/9 he is telling every college student it's ok to go to Florida and chug beer through shared tubes and share as much bodily fluids as you can find willing partners.

That implies Fauci might be too old to not make the connection he was saying things were under control but I did, and am not that many years behind him.

Scary. But then he said go about your normal business on 2/29.

And Fauci probably regrets saying what he said.

Do you think Trump does?

Somebody posted in the non political covid thread that they had a relative in China that works in a hospital and that they probably have 4 million positive cases with hundreds of thousands dead. But people are getting Shanghai’d for speaking out

Did you know many people calling for major mobilization of medical resources during first few weeks or are you just blaming him for not taking the lead and acting before anyone else was interested/paying attention?

I get the criticism that the President downplayed the situation for a while at the beginning. But while he was giving the media happy talk, professionals in the administration were still doing their jobs.
