“In the results presented here, we apply a previously published microsimulation model to two countries: the UK (Great Britain specifically) and the US. We conclude that the effectiveness of any one intervention in isolation is likely to be limited, requiring multiple interventions to be combined to have a substantial impact on transmission.

Two fundamental strategies are possible: (a) mitigation, which focuses on slowing but not necessarily stopping epidemic spread – reducing peak healthcare demand while protecting those most at risk of severe disease from infection, and (b) suppression, which aims to reverse epidemic growth, reducing case numbers to low levels and maintaining that situation indefinitely.”

People are panicked right now.

When the initial panic begins to die down, they will realize that the corona virus has not created any sort of a problem with the food supply, and that the current shortages are an illogical herd reaction.

The virus will go on for quite a while. The shortages in the supermarkets are short term.

What's your source on there not being any problems with food supplies?

I mean if millions die We kinda of need big government.

A'lot of the reasons testing is fucked right now is cause a lack of government leadership.

38% of people hospitalized with COVID-19 were between the ages of 20-54, CDC reports.

China magically re-opens their society and has no new domestically acquired COVID-19 cases at the very moment when the US and Europe have to shutdown and destroy their economies?

Russia only has 147 reported cases of COVID-19 and is not experiencing a mass shutdown of their society/economy?
China, yes, Russia no. The reason Russia has so few cases is that they closed their borders in January.
