We all have varying opinions about the impact of this, the numbers, etc. We will all never agree with each other. But we can all keep it civil.

Thanks!

That's what I assumed, but didn't want to jump the gun.

How are we flattening out with those kind of numbers?

You have to look at the bigger picture. Hospitalizations of new cases, ICU admissions, etc. All signs point that those things are going in the right direction in a lot of places. This will mean lower death rates in a week or two.

We still have multiple days ahead of very high death totals, unfortunately.

New case growth is showing signs of doing that. Deaths, of course, lag behind that.

Deaths are a lagging indicator. In theory, you can have infections declining while deaths are increasing because it takes over a week from infection to death.

That's what I was told is happening here. The medical community is still expecting, and preparing for a surge. And I'm fine with that. Not the time to let our guard down.

But most people here took it seriously right away and did their part. It's an extremely noticeable difference, almost eerie at times. Would be nice to get a payoff for the sacrifices we have all made.

Who is freaking out? Im proud of how Americans have social distanced themselves and kept the numbers from exploding.

Nobody really is at the moment, but I seem to remember one particular person screaming NATIONAL LOCKDOWN 100 times a day on here not too long ago. And it's not just on this board, they're out there.

I'm still moderately freaking out. Not as severe as before, making progress.

Guilty. Though I'm not the "NATIONAL LOCKDOWN" guy you are referencing.

Oh, we all know who I was referring to. Thankfully the mods took him down with a tranquilizer dart.
