That is much higher than a bad flu season.
.
I never once mentioned hospitalization rates. Nice change of subject.

I did however claim that the fatality rate for under 50 has been reported to be equivalent to a bad flu season and that is in this thread if you care to look. Are you arguing the accuracy of said reports or claiming I lied about it?

Just like influenza. Published 3 days ago, by the way
Thanks, it's appreciated.

Yeah, he's definitely milking it for everything it's worth given his position. Talking about hallucinations of his Dad, haven't heard that as a symptom of COVID 19 yet, interesting.

It's been posted many times, but the hospitalization rates are still quite high even for younger people. You don't want hospital beds being taken up by 35 year olds when you've got 80 year olds who need them.

I'm not going to repeat the reasons why public health officials are continuing to suggest a lockdown.

Right.

It's been said in this thread a million times.

I wonder where they got the CFR for influenza though. My understanding is that it's usually 0.1%

Friend of mine was having some chest pains earlier this week and went to the ER for some testing. Town of 60,000 metro area of 250,000 people with 2 hospitals. He said the hospital was literally empty. Like a freaking ghost town, nurse told him not to jinx it when he mentioned it.

They’re not doing any elective procedures and people are scared to go to the hospital

Honestly it’s a good thing in that way cause people go to the ER all the damn time for mi or shit they should go to urgent care for

.1 is generally true which is why I specified a bad flu season. Check out 2018 if you want to see bad numbers.

You don't think we hit .16% in 2018? I specified a bad flu season estimate not what it is averaged over time. There is a huge yearly variance. If you can't argue what I actually posted than kindly shut the fuck up.

I don’t think even in the worst flu season we get to .16

That seems way high
