Don't pay attention to the CPDC trash. They'll just derail the thread.

My boss is obese...and he, like millions of Americans, drink sugary drinks every day.Hell this fucking guy brings a brick of Dr. Pepper in his office every Monday and it’s gone by Friday.

That’s a little over 3 cans a day which is 120g of sugar. Just from soda.

And this country wonders why it’s inhabited by a bunch of people in horrible health.

Hard to think that soda is not the most unhealthy thing a human can consume in excess

My Personal trainer friend who works with NHL/OHL players mostly says to lose weight you should not drink your calories , water only. Artificial sweeteners can make you gain weight according to the last thing I read , the body thinks it is sugar and acts in a similar fashion, again that was one study. Meaning calories from liquids are worst than ones from solids all things being equal.

I thought the whole point of "flatten the curve" was to make the "peak" lower (like near what it is now) but drag it out over a super long period of time. It doesn't mean that any fewer total people will get infected. Doesn't that imply that we will keep what is going on now indefinitely?

It's been said several times that the worst pre-existing condition with regard to COVID19 is obesity

How long until elective health procedures become emergencies? How long until non essential workers can no longer feed themselves or keep the lights on? How long until what were once considered essential businesses and workers can no longer work due to their businesses having no income? (This has happened a lot already). How long until taxes can no longer can support all of the people in need of assistance?

I don’t really know the answers but I do know it is completely unfeasible to treat every worker and business the same when it comes to who is allowed to operate and who is not.
