Nzoner's Game Room>2019 Free agency Thread
O.city 03:24 PM 02-05-2019
We don't really have one of these yet, so figured we could use this as a place to discuss potential free agent acquisitions and what we would like to look for them to bring in.

If any of you guys are interested, heres a good place to do some research.

This team hopefully can get some vets willing to come cheap to try to win something...

Gerald McCoy, Eric Weddle, Calais Campbell could all be candidates if they get released.

Really need to see what Minnesota wants for Xavier Rhodes as his contract is reasonable and won't kill the cap.

I think some of those guys that know they've got a year or two left might like one last run at a ring. This is how the Patriots are good every year.

We might see some guys like that come to KC. We need to pair that with a good draft; a vet FA and then a draftee each at the weak spots.

Gotta win one before you can win four or five.

Houston just did a little restructure in 2016.

Robert Alford should be our main target in FA.

I can understand how this seems unappealing but after watching his tape I believe he’s the best realistic FA CB.

Atlanta has had an almost completely non-existent pass rush the past two years and he has covered his ass off in spite of it. He also comes to play in the playoffs which I personally find very important.

Ok go back to talking about how a team that has to re-sign 70 mil+ in cap space over the next 3 years are gonna sign FAs who will want 3+ year high guarantee deals like Adrian Amos, Earl Thomas, Gerald McCoy, Landon Collins lmao.

I’ll continue to live in the real world.

Robert Alford just got 3 years 22 million worth up to 24 million from the Cardinals. HE IS 30! What are these younger CBs like Nelson going to get? This FA is going to be a huge overpay for mediocre talent.

Scary proposition.... it’s not a buyers market for CBs like it is safeties.

I’d steer clear of expensive FA corners this year. Draft 1-2.

It's not just this year. I took a look at a few positions highest paid players.

It is horrifying.
