I wouldn't mind spending a 3rd or 4th on him.

It seems like Bill Self is less salty these days - Drink should give him a call and figure out how he seems to make every mouth breathing mongoloid he ever recruits 'academically eligible'...
Ended up at Wyoming. Close enough

Mizzou had the #13 class per 247. Not too shabby.

Yeah, it's a qualification issue. He isn't guaranteed to be eligible. Missouri couldn't afford to use a spot on a guy it wasn't sure it would actually get.

I think year 3 is going to be a surprise. Obviously not going to beat Georgia but I think with Drinks guys for the most part we might see 8 wins, maybe 9.

Can't believe the Giants interviewed Wilks for the DC job

I was sort of surprised too. However you can’t deny the improvement from first half of the season to the second half. I’m not sure if that’s a simplification of the scheme, the firing of the DL coach (once he was fired, the defense improved dramatically), or something else. I’d like to see a few more years to see what he can do.

The Carolina Panthers have hired Missouri defensive coordinator Steve Wilks as defensive pass game coordinator/secondary coach.
Mizzou will have a third different DC under Eli Drinkwitz in 2022.

Wasn't the biggest fan of Wilks last year, although they seemed to play a little better as the season went on. Wonder where Drink will go on this?

Can't believe Eberflus is an NFL head coach.

The defense improved significantly as the season went on, I did not want Wilks to leave but here we are.

Things to worry about at this point w/ Drink,

1. Offensive coach has an offensive offense. Might be fixed with a change in QB (?) but everything is hard for that offense.
2. Revolving door with his staff.
3. Rides one tailback at a time like he's trying to kill the dude.

I think he needs to hire an OC & turn playcalling duties over. That'll be the next thing to go if things don't go as hoped for this coming season.

He’s building a staff that other teams want. That’s good. Cuonzo Martin built a staff nobody wants. Those results speak for themselves.

That's one possible explanation. Perhaps it's true, I hope it is - I don't dismiss it but I don't necessarily buy it either at this point.

Recruiting has obviously been sensational. I think there will be clarity after this coming season.

They need to start showing improvement on the field. This past season went quite poorly before they salvaged something late. Anytime you're firing assistants in-season its alarming. They didn't look like they were trying against Tennessee.

If he gets the QB position right the rest will work out.

The schedule looks difficult.

NEWS | @SEC announces $777.8 million of total revenue, divided among its 14 universities for 2020-21 fiscal year (ending Aug 31, 2021).

The distribution, excluding bowl revenue retained by schools for bowl expenses, averaged slightly over $54.6 million per school. pic.twitter.com/eqMXMJSAuj
