IT ****ING HAPPENED

OP UPDATE:

Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy!

I’m ready to stack him back up with weapons.

Get him his 2007 Brady season where he combines explosive weapons with his command of the game he’s learned the last few seasons and watch him run absolute roughshod over the league.

John Harbaugh has more career rushing yards than Bo Jackson.

Thought that was interesting.

This. If I need to win one game I'm taking Jordan/Mahomes.

I find it kind of funny that he can do do this stuff with impunity, because he's going to have a dozen gigantic protective guys around him. No one's going to bother him or mess with him.

I didn't know John Harbaugh played in the NFL.

His brother Jim, on the other hand.......

Mahomes sure but you better have Scottie Pippen if you need to win one too because that MJ playoff record doesn’t look too pretty without him.

Do you actually want me to post his playoff record without Scottie? I can. It ain’t a great look.

The Chiefs trade the best WR in the league away and Mahomes wins 2 SBs consecutively anyway.

Meanwhile, MJ goes 1-9 without Scottie in the playoffs doing effectively nothing with the Bulls until he arrived. Feels like there’s a bit of a difference there.

LeBron James is 15-17 without Kyrie Irving in the NBA Finals :-)

You have 0 legs to stand on here.

LeBron literally won titles with 3 different organizations, twice without Kyrie (and would have won more had his 2 greatest adversaries, the Warriors and Durant, not had to join together to beat him).

MJ won nothing without Scottie Pippen whatsoever. There are levels to this.

speaking of idiotic NBA comps...:-)

Well I guess it’s a good thing that the games & stats are decided by actually playing and not by comparing NBA to NFL. Why not just use Karl Malone as a reference for Lamar though? Seems more apt, if we’re just cherry picking stuff

Mahomes is very much the new LeBron who will never be allowed to catch up to the ghost of Brady (outside of winning an outrageous 7-8 SBs) no matter what he accomplishes on the field and some of you somehow still don’t see it. This is what is gonna dominate those sports debate shows for the next decade just like MJ/LeBron did for the past decade.

History is repeating itself.

Best player ever in each sport IMO:

Football: Mahomes
Basketball: LeBron
Baseball: Bonds
Hockey: Gretzky
Soccer: Messi
