Nzoner's Game Room>Anyone here doing the E-Cig / Vape thing?
pr_capone 03:05 AM 11-17-2013
Thanks to my vape, I've had only one single cigarette in the past 3 weeks. I have zero cravings for them and I feel considerably better. In fact, I still have about 5 smokes left in a pack and just can't see myself smoking those... don't want to.

Even better... 5ml of juice, which costs $5, lasts me about 2 weeks meaning that I am spending less in the long run. I only smoked, at most, a pack a week... but still.

I tried the Blu E-Cigs but they were terrible. Trying to "smoke" out of one of those was like trying to take a hit off a joint that was rolled WAY to tight.

I'm using an eGo-V v2 mega battery with variable voltage control with a gravity tank.

This is a RBA (rebuildable atomizer). It's called an IGO-W, which is the most basic RBA there is. You build a coil and screw it into the posts and then run some sterile cotton through the coil. The. You drip juice on it. Vapor production and flavor are boosted enormously doing this.

Cotton in coil soaked with juice

Nice. I just got into this (opened the box on my SVD today) so I'm not going to try that yet, but I have been looking at videos on that IGO-W. Looks like fun stuff.

Thought about it recently. Someone gave me the name of a place on bell that is supposed to be good. Sure do love me a smoke though...

Just don't buy in in a retail store like I did. I paid $25 for it, not knowing much about them, but I bought the cheapest one to try out on (I had to have it right now, my fault). When I got home I saw you can get them for $15 on U.S. e-cig sites or $6 on www.fasttech.com

I like to support local business and US business, but I'm trying to spend as little money as possible right now.

I did pretty much the same thing at first. Went to a vape store in Sacramento when I was out of town and overpaid for a starter kit. It is so much cheaper to do this online it's not even funny.

I smoked for 30 years. I am not shitting you. Thirty years. Anywhere from a pack to two packs a day. Started with Marlboro reds and slowly worked over to Camels, then Camel wides. If I have a functioning vape I don't even want to smoke.

How do you adjust them? Or is that only certain kinds? Spent a little over $50 on one but it doesn't hit very hard at all. Everyone who has tried it said its the weakest one they've had. Like pulling a drag through a cocktail straw.

Did you get one with variable voltage/wattage? Also it depends on the fluid. As I understand the fluid is typically some combo of PG and VG. Then nic and flavor. PG (and nic) gives you throat hit. VG gives you lung hit. Cranking up the voltage (or wattage) increases vapor production so that increases the feel of the draw. Also different tanks will affect draw, some are designed for improved airflow that will make an easier draw.

Wow. That something to think about...

Before you start using adjustable Voltage/Wattage, I highly recommend you understand Ohm's Law so you don't blow a battery up in your face and die.

Just read this and follow the chart.

Basically, whatever coil you are using, you should know it's resistance. Most coils are around 2 Ohms, which means 3.7 Volts is your sweet spot. Most coils have their resistance printed onto them like the one below the chart.

Right there with ya brutha, though not 2 packs...probably closer to one. But it's still a bitch to quit that habit. Since I started the e-cig, I honestly do NOT want a cigarette. It's been since last June and I can honestly say, I'm free of cigarettes.

I think I am in danger of becoming an Innokin fan boy now, lol. I really like the style of their product and the utility/ease of use. If you are a serious smoker then I am going to suggest that you grab an iTaste VV 3.0 with an iClear 16 tank. You can get that for about $40 online. Get yourself some tobacco flavored fluid at 24mgs nicotine. Crank the voltage/wattage up and down until it feels right. Go ahead and swap out smoking a cig and hitting the vape. You'll probably end up buying another one for back up. Then you'll buy a more expensive mod because you won't be dumping as much cash on smokes.

Thanks man. If I do it I'll buy local so I have someone with whom to consult. Any word on long term ramifications of vaping?
