CJ Hanson is a super athlete for a guard, if you look up and down the list the Chiefs do what the Chiefs do, they are a team that values athletes for the most part. There are a few exceptions like Bolton isn't a super athlete.

Even the UDFA's you see it, Miles Battle has crazy athletic numbers.

How was this guy not drafted? Man he’s got nice size and speed and he can pass rush if you need him to. Ideal Spags backer IMO.

Think he’s gonna make the team. He’s the type of player you want to develop as your 3rd or 4th backer.

Curtis Jacobs is a three-year starter at one of the best NFL LB development schools in the country and is an elite athlete, yet doesn’t get talked about nearly enough.

He didn't get drafted because he isn't "great" at anything. He is very good and for linebackers that isn't enough. I think our defense is a great fit for linebackers that get the job done.

Became a bit overly obsessed with RAS and thought I'd look at Lovett and how he compares to our DTs not called Jones...he's solid enough with a RAS of over 6. Nnadi had a RAS that I could find of 1.21. I knew he was a slug but man that makes sense now. Farrell had 0.86. Yikes.

I really liked the Lovett pick up anyway, but yeah, he's getting snaps.

I've noticed Eyabi Okie-Anoma isn't listed on the UDFA articles that have dropped in the last 24 hours. Perhaps still some formalities to iron out? Or a change of plans?

The rich got richer last week when the winners of the last two Super Bowls drafted seven players, with the first three selections joining the team�s well-established offense. The Chiefs expanded their rookie class to 24 players by signing these 17 undrafted free agents:

The Chiefs return their top three rushers in Isiah Pacheco, Clyde Edwards-Helaire, and La�Mical Perine, but after finishing a middling 19th in the league in rushing yards, Kansas City may be taking some flyers on potential upgrades at the backup positions behind Pacheco. Bailey comes in after two seasons at Louisiana and two seasons at TCU. At each school he had a season in which he scored eight touchdowns, and he racked up 1,209 rushing yards in 2023. Steele arrives after two years at Ball State and one at UCLA. He led his team in rushing yards all three seasons and was first-team All-MAC in 2022 after leading the conference with 1,556 yards and 14 touchdowns.

Driskell was a surprising prospect to end up undrafted. He�s raw and needs NFL coaching to develop a role with the Chiefs, but his towering 6-foot-8 frame was expected to land him somewhere in the fifth or sixth round of the draft. Lovett was likewise expected to land in the fifth or sixth round but slipped out to an undrafted position unexpectedly. He has the ability to flash as a rotational defensive lineman, but a lack of consistency could cost him a spot on the 53-man roster.

After trading away L�Jarius Sneed in the offseason and drafting Kamal Hadden in the sixth round out of Tennessee, the Chiefs bring in three more prospects including Roland-Wallace. Roland-Wallace spent his final season with the Trojans after four years as a starter at Arizona. His quick twitch helped him rack up four interceptions and 29 passes defensed in college.

Even Rehkow was expected to get drafted after four years with the Cougars. The four-year punter saw his punting duties skyrocket in 2023 as BYU�s offense struggled mightily in their move to the Big 12.

Here is the full rookie mini camp roster released by the Chiefs.

Note that it has some errors that have been confirmed. They weren't very good at math, as some of the position groups do not have the correct total number of participants (WR, TE, DB all inflated by 1 in error).

And it has also been clarified that Eyabi Okie is a tryout participant, not an UDFA signing (nor rostered player, as the Chiefs mini camp roster indicates in error).

Emani Bailey kind of reminds me of Spencer Ware a bit. People forget that he was a pretty damn good RB when he was healthy.

Not the fastest guy, but has a bunch of wiggle mixed with bowling ball-like power. Shown to have decent hands, too. Even saw him out on some of those wheel routes we used to run with Hunt and Damien Williams.

Excited to see him with pads. Hope he doesn't turn into shit in a can like Deneric Prince did.
