Anyone know how they deal with persistently mislabelled shows?

I've noticed it a few times, and some correct themselves later.

But, for example, I went to check out the new 'In Search Of . . .' with Zachary Quinto. And every episode [even though it specifies 2018 in the title] brings up the old series from the 70s.

Yeah, that's just the Kodi addon attempt at that plugin. But those rarely work because they require constant code updates. I don't think you'll find a stable Kodi plugin for this service. Stick with the Android version which is updated regularly at this time. You can run an Android emulator on Windows 10 or MacOS if that's all you have. If you just have iOS, you're shit out of luck.
