Kawhi locked in tonight and PG actually showed up. Makes a difference.

Leonard is the best player in the NBA. Damn.

It’s still LeBron but Kawhi is close when he goes all out.

Disappointing loss for the Mavs. Did they just expect the Clippers to roll over after that huge win? Marcus Morris is another piece of shit. There’s playing physical to intimidate your opponent but intentionally trying to hurt someone is a bitch move.

Morris twin doing Morris twin things. That's so incredibly blatant :-)

Eh, it's Marcus Morris. That's to be expected.

So the Magic and the Bucs appear to be refusing to take the court.

Sure that's gonna change a lot of minds...

Honestly the way people are psycho about sports it'll get more attention than most other things a celebrity would do. Sounds like they are going to sit it out. It wasn't until COVID hit the NBA that anyone took it seriously.

Ask yourself about the respective venn diagrams here. Take a look at the ratings of these games during all this.

You really think this will move the needle among anyone that hadn't already staked a position?

It will not. It will simply further entrench those that have.

Oh for sure. But it's their right to do it. It's not surprising considering what happened in the Bucks backyard.

People are nuts and make everything political, but at the same time athletes have a lot of power. Not just these guys, but as we've seen with LeBron, Mahomes, etc. If they want to bring attention to something they pretty much have as much power as anyone.

Who cares. Season is a joke anyway

I had the same thought when they first mentioned a boycott. If this has any effect, it will be negative. People already agree with them, or don't and will feel even stronger after this.

Just look at the comments on this board, which is a very non-NBA demographic. "Shut up and dribble"

Social issues continue to influence sports. Sports continues to influence social issues.

I imagine we won't be seeing any more NBA games today. And possibly for the rest of the week. Maybe longer?

I'm so fascinated to see what Silver does here because he works for the owners after all and they (along with the advertisers) need these games to be played. The NBA would have the ability to break up the CBA if they chose to.
