Nzoner's Game Room>How friggin Cold are you?
Hog's Gone Fishin 04:54 PM 02-13-2021
Here in the Texas panhandle 6 degrees all day. Headed for -7 to -10 by Monday.

6-12 inches snow tomorrow/Monday

had to call every tenant to make sure they keep water running or they'll be SOL for a week.

THANK GOD I don't have to deal with the Hog farm any more. I feel for the livestock producers. They earn their money in a big way!

Those bastard on the border trying to check in are fucked in their short sleeve shirts. LOL

What’s crazy is that it’s basically just constantly off and on snowing, I suppose because of how cold it is. We are used to snow being more like a passing storm, but this is just sort of a consistent thing that comes and goes for days now without seeming like an actual snow storm.

This should make for not as bad of a tick and other insect pests season at least.

Yes, and they are, but not enough to meet demand and/or consumption. Extreme cold affects generation in various ways, either the ability to actually generate or not being able to get the normal amount of fuel used to generate like normal. It depends on the method(s) used. Wind generation, for example, doesn't like below freezing temperatures and freezing rain.

Looking at their generation sources, 46% is coal generation. 29% natural gas. And, 9% wind.

Fuck Circle K and the credit card skimmers they allow to happen there.

Shell takes Frys rewards though and it’s top tier gas. Win-win.

I mean when you make purchases there, you get fuel points if you input your Fry's ID.

Crude went over $60/barrel today. The highest it's been since January 2020.

Oh, and the largest refinery in the country was shut down, too.
