I would be curious to know as I am interested in getting it done but not if it's an ify test

Why would you not? We were told takes two weeks to see results. Many States reopened first on month and we are floating around two weeks.

I like to throw stupid opinions out there (hot takes if you will) then root for them.

$119 to probably get a "no". But who knows. :-)

Well then you know you can get it at least. It would be cool to know I had it and stuff though. Would take a lot of anxiety out of the mix if you knew you were at very minimal risk.

My doc has told me that currently, it's a waste of time and money to get tested.

With that said, it could be because of the test he has access to, and not an overarching issue.

We could be seeing spikes from places like Georgia, Florida and Texas right now. And the 2 weeks thing is a touch arbitrary as you can get symptoms within 2 days as well. There is not hard and fast rule that it takes 2 weeks. Just that it could take up to 2 weeks.

Let's see if anyone weighs in with how accurate the test is supposed to be. My own research hasn't said much one way or the other.

Agree. I have heard symptoms occur most commonly at 2 to 6 day mark. 14 days is the absolute outset I believe

Yes but this poses the ultimate question. If all these people have been locked down for going on 8 weeks in some cases, how the fuck do you still have all these supposed asymptomatic people running around?

My theory is literally 30x more people have this than we think and the vast, vast majority of them are fairly immune to it.

Take NYC for instance, 60% or so of new cases are people who have largely stayed at home meaning they've had minimal exposure and minimal chance to be infected.

That or this thing lives a lot longer in "asymptotic" people. I don't know enough about this shit but if the virus is living in me but not causing any issues to my health why would it automatically die?

MLB tested 5600+ employees across 28 or so teams and the positive rate was .7 percent.

By far the largest mass test yet they said.

When you have 70+ people testing positive after attending a protest rally in Wisconsin and another 150+ after a superspreader attended a few clubs in Seoul I don't think I'd be spiking the football on the 45-yard-line just yet.

Obligatory "false negatives had to be the cause for such a low rate!"
