I am guessing that you are one of those dumbshits who has been locked in his basement for the past month.

When did the flu do to NY hospitals what COVID-19 did in the past month alone?

Personally, if I wanted to enjoy some water I'd rather go to a nice quiet lake than a crowded beach with or without a global virus.

So you are denying that the #of daily cases in Georgia has leveled off?

You would be incorrect if yes.

You might want to check your facts before continuing to babble on without evidence to support your claims.

Hard to relax when your lake is full of gators and pythons. Nuke the state just to be safe.

True. I've never been to the south south though. I went to a family reunion to meet some cousins I've never met on the southern tip of Illinois and that was a bit too much south for my comfort. If you catch my drift.

This article actually discusses how that thought process was used during the Spanish Flu epidemic.

It makes no sense to be shutting down parks and outdoor activities.

I'm sure we're the weird ones, but out here the issue isn't being outside in general - it's that no one has anywhere else to go, so parks and trails are actually overcrowding. They've had to shut some areas down just because people overflow the parking lots and start parking illegally, causing traffic issues.

In general, though, I agree that being outside around people is probably a pretty low risk activity.

People bitching about the beaches being open have to be livid over the NY subway and bus system spreading this shit like crazy.

The beach is about 1000000 times safer than the subways of New York. Where is the outrage?
