They wore them on the 2006 home opener when Robert Geathers ended Green. It was also the first game of Herman Edwards. From that moment until 2013, the Chiefs were among the worst franchises in the league. They had three 12+ loss seasons in eight years, and more murder-suicides than playoff wins.
This is why I hated Herman Edwards....all whites at home in his first game....like the guy didn't have a freaking clue....
At any rate, I think the all whites have gotten better over the years as there seems to be more red accents the guys are wearing.....they looked dull back in the days when they had white socks, etc. Now with more red, I think they look very clean....
But I like the red pants on the road jerseys more.... [Reply]
Favorite look is Red jerseys and white pants - it's classic Chiefs. I'm alright with white on white, especially now with the red socks. Red helmet over white unis reminded me of cherry suckers as a kid. [Reply]
It wouldn’t surprise me to see the Chiefs come out with some form of uniform update because “Mahomes effect”. The team is more popular now than its ever been. From a marketing perspective it makes sense to try and sell more jerseys while the team is hot. [Reply]
