It's a moot issue at this point, but no. There are seniors on that team, right? Maybe some are trying to get a scholarship somewhere, and maybe finishing the season makes a difference in some of those kids lives.
And we don't punish the whole team for the sole act of one player. This is America, not the Soviet Union. We don't spray punishment around over everyone for the epic stupidity of one person. [Reply]

Collective punishments that would significantly damage your future?
As a HS athlete, sure, there were plenty of "he screwed up, or that unit screwed up, so everyone is doing push-ups/running laps," or whatever. But that's not the same thing. Taking away games crosses the line. [Reply]

As someone who nearly got expelled as a high school senior for a prank that I had a minor part in and as a former frat bro whose chapter was punished for the actions of other chapters, yeah, I find it hard to empathize with anyone who gets dragged down because of the actions of a few dumbasses.

Suck it up.
Oh, but you did send the dick pic. That explains everything. [Reply]

SiGNifiCaNtlY dAMAgE yoUr FuTurE. By missing out on a high school football game? I mean, yeah, if you peak in high school maybe.
If the team puts each other over individual accomplishments this doesn’t happen. One for all and all for one. [Reply]
