Nzoner's Game Room>What covid changes in your life will be permanent?
Rain Man 12:38 PM 12-03-2020
I've made a bunch of changes in my life over the past nine months, and frankly some of them have been pretty good experiments. In some cases I'll revert back, but in others I probably won't.

How do you think you'll think/act differently going forward as a result of this?

For me, some changes that will stick are:

Some changes that might stick in whole or in part:

Some changes that won't stick and will revert back to normal:

I'll continue to conduct some of my meetings remotely, which will mean I'll continue to travel for business less. However I intend to resume in-person meetings when it's time. I'll cut back but won't eliminate them.

That's about it. I'd like to continue the trend of not wearing pants day or night but at some point that will likely have to end.

Add this one to my list as well. I'll always have at least 30 days of canned food, rice and beans, and protein bars on hand. There's a plentiful supply of water in my back yard so that's not a concern.

I've actually been going to casinos, but with much less frequency. I just make sure I hang out in the poker room because they actually enforce masks there. Out on the casino floor especially at the slot machines nobody really seems to obey the rules.

When everyone wears a mask, it is quite effective. When only some people wear them, much less - obviously.

Nonetheless, should probably stop going. Tsk tsk tsk. Probably not going to go any places before xmas if my family has it to make sure I'm safe.

Exactly.

Covid has shown me that I need to take care of my body. I admittedly packed on about 7 lbs since the lockdown started but I’ve been to the gym 3X a week for over 2 months now and honestly as much as it sucked at first, it’s kind of fun when you’re in shape.

I lost 12 lbs and 2% body fat and I think that I’ve improved my diet as much as anything.

I am at the tail end of covid and I really do believe that work helped my immune system beat this thing rather easily.

I hope this will be a permanent change for me

The biggest change for me & my family would be work situations. My wife and her team are going to be permanently working from home now, and my company may do the same. If we both continue to work from home then we will likely look at getting into a bigger place with more space for separate office areas.

As far as habits, I'm looking forward to going out to eat with friends again. I was part of a group of guys that would try to go to a new restaurant every week. I miss doing that. Grocery shopping...I'm not sure. The curbside pickup has be hit-and-miss. There's been several instances of them saying that something is out of stock only to be in stock when I go in the store.

...and the bidet will get serious consideration.

I dont smoke......my point was that I would go more if they keep the non-smoking going that several casinos have switched over to during COVID.

So if I'm lucky enough to ever meet RM, I won't be able to shake his hand? :-)

None, really. I might work from home full instead of half, but that's probably it.

47% of CP is filled with bitchy little twats. Shocking.

A polite bow is far superior. I would also exchange a small token gift with you of candy or Dr. Pepper.
