Nzoner's Game Room>What covid changes in your life will be permanent?
Rain Man 12:38 PM 12-03-2020
I've made a bunch of changes in my life over the past nine months, and frankly some of them have been pretty good experiments. In some cases I'll revert back, but in others I probably won't.

How do you think you'll think/act differently going forward as a result of this?

For me, some changes that will stick are:

Some changes that might stick in whole or in part:

Some changes that won't stick and will revert back to normal:

Socially distance myself where I can.

Places I look forward to going to again: Arrowhead, a movie, anywhere without having to wear a mask.

Oh, that's a good one. I too will abandon the handshake. I hope that doesn't cause a lot of awkwardness to implement because handshakes serve no purpose other than to make germs and viruses chortle.

It's hard to get all of the smells in on sniffers row with a mask.

I am using the expectation that in person meetings are not needed to make my business more efficient. I am also implementing even more automation as I have had time to step back and think about some things.

As for everything else? No, I liked what we had before better than Fauci's vision of a world with no smiles or handshakes.

I'd generally say none, but I had already been doing grocery orders and some level of restaurant pickup before all of this hit. I really hope that my travel and entertainment go back to the way they were before. I suppose working from home is probably going to be a bit more regular for me moving forward, but that's about it.

I had my first child during this pandemic so I won't ever go back to what normal was before.

OP has some good points/observations though.

I can't wait to get back to traveling. Even though I have a child I have built in babysitters via in-laws.

I'll keep wearing a mask when I use a public restroom - it helps quite a bit with the smell...

I'll probably still continue to crop dust anyone that still wears a mask.

Not me. I think you really get to know another man when you can grip their hand firmly, pull them in close and give them a good stare down.

None. I can't wait for the world to go back to normal. Well, except for being 25 lb. overweight. Enjoying weighing less than I did as a senior in HS, can't lie.

None. I only wear a mask in public when indoors because I know many will lose their crap in fear if I dont. However with family and friends I am a hand shaker and hugger and never stopped during all this. At the same time I have always liked a buffer zone when I am having dinner or drinks in a bar/restaurant.....not because of covid but i just dont want to smell anybodys bad breath or stand too close to those who spit while talking.

Not much. I'm a social person in most regards.

Used to enjoy going to casinos pre-COVID. I could see myself wearing a mask in casinos moving forward (as long as I'm not the only one!)......especially if more casinos revert back to allowing smoking.
