I hate that idea while he’s still playing. It gives them an excuse to avoid giving the award to him when he deserves it.

It'll be named many years after Patrick retires like the NBA Finals MVP being named after Bill Russell

Isn't it crazy to think that Patrick Mahomes has a chance to go down as the best player to ever play this game. People believe he will be the Michael Jordan of the NFL and I just don't think that would be an accurate assessment. Sure, some people have Michael Jordan as the best basketball player of all time, but there are people that would argue it is LeBron (I don't care what your stance is in regards to this. There are a lot of very vocal supporters of both of these guys for the best to play basketball). Patrick Mahomes has a chance to be the unanimous best NFL player ever. MLB doesn't have that. NBA doesn't have that. At the moment the NFL doesn't even have that. The only big sport that has a surefire best player ever and that is the NHL with Wayne Gretzky and hockey is 2nd tier to football, basketball, and baseball. Patrick Mahomes will become the biggest sports star in the world.

Can't wait to enjoy this ride with a lot of you.

And there will always be people that will argue it’s Brady, but like MJ, the overwhelming majority will know it’s Pat.

Pat will never be unanimous, even if he somehow gets 6 rings. There will always be bad Skip Bayless takes.

Bill Russell has 11 rings and won 8 straight titles and yet MJ is known as the best ever.

Patrick doesn’t need to win 6 rings to be better than Brady. Patrick can do things never done before like win 3 straight SB’s, record number of MVP awards and just keep being a badass.

Quite honestly I don’t think it looks good on Brady losing to Eli twice or losing the SB to a backup QB.

I didn’t say Pat needs 6 rings to be better than Brady. I said even if he gets 6, there will be people that will say Brady is better.

Heck...in football I think you would also have some folks bringing up non-QB's like Jerry Rice, Jim Brown, Lawrence Taylor, etc. All of these guys are incredible players.

Not singling you out. There’s unfortunately people who think rings mean everything. They’ll also say that Patrick played in an all offensive style league whereas Brady played most of his time before that, but then again the playoff system is much harder the way it is now.

I’m tired of Brady. I think he’s close to being done.

But he’s scared. He knows his greatness is in massive jeopardy and it could be changed within 5 years. I really do believe we could win 3 or 4 titles in that time.

I think when it's all said and done, assuming Patrick Mahomes stays on his current trajectory and plays 15+ years then he will be the unanimous all time NFL player.

I'm not counting the Skips of the world who just say shit to be controversial. His opinion isn't real. The people who would pick LeBron honestly believe he's the best player and aren't just being condescending picks. I don't think there will be that support for someone else when Mahomes is done.

Ya know, I always think that at some point, I'll stop being surprised by this stuff. Maybe in a couple of years but right now, every time I read something like this, it shocks me.

I took this from an ESPN "MVP Watch" article.

I honestly don't think Mahomes wll allow this team to lose any playoff games if he has a chance to lead us down the field to win the game. I've never been so sure of a QB leading his team to victory than I am of PMII. If our D can just be a little bit better than they were in 2018 for the next 5 years, then I think we win at the very least 3 SBs.
