I'm kinda glad it didn't work out that way. I can think of no worse outcome, even the slimmest of possibilities, if the 49ers would've won that game, given Rivers his only Super Bowl, done it against the Chiefs, all those storylines from that potential nightmare scenario no thank you.

Would've been nice to beat Rivers once more so bad that his fifteenth child would've felt it, for old times sake and send him to the retirement home though. I mean he's starting to get to Nick Cannon levels of children at this point.

Yup. Niners had a top tier defense most of the season, outside of the KC beatdown. Either scenario would have been good with me. Beat down the Niners for a second time in four years and get one more beating in on Rivers or beat the unstoppable Philly machine in the Reid/Kelce/Jalen-Jaylen bowl.
