The #Chiefs have released S Eric Berry. End of an era in KC.

The Chiefs have released Berry with a post-June 1 designation, a source tells me. Means the Chiefs will save around $9.5m on the cap this year and $5.5m next year.

I wish him the best in life, whether he sees the field again or not. I figure he'll get a shot somewhere, Cleveland probably, and I hope he gets to play.

He was a great player when healthy and a great person by all accounts but it was time.
