So currently I have a 1060 3GB in my computer and I’m looking at putting the new 1660 in there. Do I need to upgrade my mother board or will it be ok? It’s a Z170 [Reply]

First off, 16 series TI isn't that big of a step up from where you are. Turing series is nice but look at what AMD is doing. And yes, 300 series mobo. And come correct with RAM and power while you're doing it. What's your CPU? [Reply]

I’m not looking for a big step up, I don’t really need one for what I’m wanting or needing. I have 16 GB of RAM now, hopefully that will be all I need for the 1660. I have I7 7700 [Reply]

Oh yeah that's plenty of RAM and card. Good on you for the new gpu but upgrade the mobo. [Reply]

Yeah the bitcoin miner crash hit them hard so they had to come to market with something. It's telling that the 1080 prices haven't dropped much, was hoping they would. [Reply]

The 2060, 2070 and 2080 yes, the 2080 is on par if not a little better than the 1080ti, but the 2080ti is about 25-40 fps better than the next closest card. Coming from a 1070 at 35 FPS in Anthem up to 100 FPS with a 2080ti is a worthy upgrade. Going from a 1080ti to a 2080, nope, but you already have the third best card in a race that ties for second so it depends where you're coming from. [Reply]

It's the price points on the 2000 series that hurts me the most. Like why would I buy a 2070 when I can get a 1070 for much cheaper and it's damn near same performance. [Reply]
