Shoppers and employees in Los Angeles must wear face coverings while at the business, but not everyone is following the new order.

It's no longer optional in Los Angeles. Shoppers and employees at still-open businesses like grocery stores must wear face coverings. Most people have been following the new rules, aimed to help contain the spread of coronavirus. But there are still a few who aren't.

The city of LA's order requiring workers and customers to wear masks went into effect on Friday. "Face coverings will be mandatory whenever you go to shop or work at a restaurant, store, market, hotel, laundromat or pharmacy that is open," Mayor Eric Garcetti said.

Those who violate the order can be charged with a misdemeanor, risking fines or possibly even jail time.
Apparently people arent that smart in san diego.

I went to a couple mexican markets and Vons today - many people not wearing masks. Hell, at one of the markets (which is cramped already), 3/4 not wearing masks, and zero distancing amongst the 15 or so in line. I skipped it. Didnt need habanero that bad.

On a positive note, vons had just about everything I was looking for. Seems they're getting back to normal stock (almost).

Not true..

Sunday March 29th was actually worse than the entire week before it

Sunday March 22nd was actually huge spike day compared to the all days before it

In fact, April 5th is about the only Sunday that might be deemed an anomaly and I believe there was some reporting that there were issues with reporting numbers that day. Other than that the prior readings on Sundays were actually worse that the week leading up to them.

So to say things are better just because it is Sunday is largely inaccurate.

But that's just going by the actual numbers reported ....

Maybe people in America won't eat so much now. Your width really shouldn't equal half your height. It would be nice is America wasn't full of a bunch of fat slobs.

Sunday March 29 had a much lower growth on a percentage basis than the several days preceding it.

I think tomorrow may be the first actual litmus test. If we don't see a jump over Sunday then the trend is definitely dropping quickly.

The growth in new cases from the 28th to the 29th was right about the same as from the 29th-30th.

This Sunday I will concede might have slower reporting because of Easter. Last week I believe they said there was a glitch in reporting. The prior 2 Sundays however not only did not show a drop but actually showed increases.

So to say Sunday is slow just because it is Sunday doesn't pan out when you actually look at the numbers.
