I cut my own hair this weekend. I looks about as good as you can expect. I have a pretty easy hair cut, I just buzz with a 1 on the sides up to the part. Had to leave the top part long.

I am in that situation too, really bad. I kept putting off getting trimmed up for almost a month and this happened. I fear if I cut it myself I will resemble a Camaro owner. Business up front, party in the back.
