Really love this pick. I was surprised no CB was taken but Honey Badger and Thornhill are both excellent in coverage, the Chiefs could just play a lot of 3 safety sets in nickel if Ward isn't as good as he looked at the end of last season.
Honey Badger, Thornhill and Breeland is a whole lot more ballhawking on the roster than last season as well. [Reply]
This kid looks ten times better than Steven Nelson. Can't believe the Steelers paid him millions. He's going to get torched by AJ Green, and OBJ, and Hollywood Brown over and over and over and over....
Thank GOD this kid can tackle in run support and TURN HIS FRICKIN HEAD! Love this pick. If Armani Watts can come back healthy this year, we could have a reasonably good secondary. [Reply]

Walter Football is terrible, but most people had an early to mid 2nd round mark on him, so he didn't fall ridiculously. Basically what appears happened is no one really valued the safety position, and with so many good safeties still on the board no one felt pressured into taking one. There's some really talented ones that people had first round grades on still there. [Reply]

That site is hilarious for when he talks shit on bad picks. [Reply]

Doesn’t really excite me, but there’s something to be said for Steady Freddy types
It appears he’s much better than anyone we had last year
Mathieu and Thornhill are locked up for years. Safety is addressed, for under $18m. That’s less $$ than we were gonna give Justin Houston. Both those guys seem to have good football attitudes too
“Above average” is what we need on this defense, we sorely lacked that last year [Reply]
