Say what you want about Omaha, but we have the best zoo in the country hands down, and maybe even the world. If you haven't seen it, it's worth the visit. Plan on a day at least, it's friggin' huge. Check out their site:
Went there a few years ago. I thought it would be this great animal place that was different from other zoos but sadly it really wasn't. It's just like any other zoo, just bigger really. [Reply]
Been about 9 years since I went, but it was really nice when we went. My kids, niece, and I got to watch them feed the tigers. They let us get up close and the workers had the tigers stand up against the fence. They were checking the tiger, belly, coats, and claws. The kids still remember that and they were all pretty young at the time. Should take them all back again [Reply]
I scrolled over the link, and it said 'asian highlands', but for some reason the first phrase that flashed through my head was 'asian nightclub'. I was really intrigued. I'd definitely go to an asian nightclub exhibit. [Reply]

We used to go there quite frequently when the kids were young. The Lied Jungle was always my favorite part of that zoo. Yep we've been to many zoos around the country including the national zoo in DC. This is right up there at the top fer sure.
I will toot the horn for Wichita also however. The Sedgwick county zoo and Tanganyika in nearby Goddard are also among the best we've ever been to.
They've done real nice jobs at both of those locations. [Reply]
