Nzoner's Game Room>Chiefs targeted, but by who?
Hog's Gone Fishin 05:40 AM 12-01-2018
5 weeks left in the season and then playoffs. The release of the video was a deliberate conspiracy to sabatoge the Chiefs season knowing this would be an automatic 6 game exemption. With the underhanded things the Patriots have been caught doing in the past, it would make a person wonder.

The Steelers entered the game 174-0-1 in home games in which they held a 16-point lead at any point in the game...

If the Steelers had a 16 point lead in every home game...it would take 21 years to reach 174.

Funny how the the overhyped LA express waltzes into Heinz field and does something no other team has done in at least 3-4 decades.

People just cant accept how staged this shit is... and KC is about to get royally ass-****ed to a new level on that Thursday night game.

NFL corporate wants a post-season home game for the Chargers....it's been priority #1 for over a year. It's a pretty transparent (and feeble) attempt to provide the uncommitted people of LA to optics of a winner. The retarded "battle for LA" PR meme will never take hold...no matter how many years they try to manufacture interest. Its just unfortunate that Spanos and his parasitic business practices affect the AFCW...and the NFL has committed to making them appear legit at all costs.

I said over a week ago...that the officials would be confused over who to cheat for... but would bet on the Chargers to get game changing calls/no calls.

I didn't see the game...but saw Tomlin bitching about the refs. Ha...**** both of these teams.

Was there really 3 FG attempts as time expired?...the refs should have just grabbed the ball and tossed it over the goal posts.

For all we know...KC could have a lifetime ban on SBs.
I'm really starting to like you. :-)

It's going to be so absurd, the Planet will be pulling its collective goatee out.

I used to think Black was out of his gourd, but it's so easy to sway these games when you have a ref system that is completely unaccountable. Apology letters?

I mean, that's pretty much it. No one loses a job or goes through scandal when they "blow" these important games.

It's sad.

I guess my biggest problem with these theories is they seem so vast and widespread. It's really hard for me to believe that we haven't seen people come out of the woodwork to expose it. Certainly there's plenty of incentive - be it monetary as a whistleblower/author or just for sheer notoriety. I'm sure a lot of these refs - who make 200k/yr - are huge football fans and have enjoyed the purity of the game, and it's so hard for me believe they'd be instructed to skew an outcome in favor of, say, the Chargers and they'd just go along with it.

If you can convincingly explain how the above occurs, I'll take your theories a little more seriously.

I'm glad the Patriots have gotten to some of your heads that you'd be stupid enough to think they had something to do with the release of a police video. You have a woman beater on your team who is going to cost you guys HFA, get over it you losers and enjoy the L in Foxborough in January if you don't get knocked out before then.

Yeah...I'm sure there is a lot of "incentive" to cross the mob for a few bucks. I mean if you really hate your family and want their house to burn with them in it....by all means.

Do people really think someone with integrity would even have the connections to become an official? They are vetted harder than an air force pilot...and gag-ordered after. Do people even stop to wonder why the need to gag-order someone calling fouls in a sport? Corporations only do shit like that when there is sensitive information that could cause irreparable damage. Think about it...what could a football official possibly be exposed to that the NFL feels the need to go to such extreme measures of security? I also think not every one is on the "real" dole...the "all-stars"...it's a "need to know" hierarchy.

People, here, are projecting their own morality on the situation...like there is some "White Knight" Johnny Do-Gooder that would have taken the whole house of cards down...and the billion dollar Vegas gambling syndicate with it. Those types wouldn't be within a mile of the inner-workings of the NFL.

The NBA and FIFA already got exposed for this...it's not like it's some kind of fantasy that officiating corruption exists.

If there's one thing I've learned about money, it's that there's no such thing as "too much" or "enough". Just because someone is a professional making 200K a year, that doesn't mean they are set for life, it just means that they are people with 200K bills and lifestyles. Financial security is an incredibly weak argument in this case.

I have no doubt that these folks coming in all fresh and new are huge football fans who love the game, but you have to remember that there are vets who lead these crews and vets who work under them. It's VERY possible for just 2 guys to make the donuts on a crew, no problem.
And I would think that over time, the corrupt folks would eventually recruit new members in to the cabal after feeling them out and seeing where their motivations lie. It's entirely possible that within the system, you can keep a few "honest Johns" around and let them work while the movers and shakers just do their thing. It's also possible that if someone proves a little too curious for their own good, you simply do not renew their contract and send them on their way.
Assuming that you have been throughly vetted and decide to partake of the rotten apple, you are IN, and you will NOT be speaking about it to anyone. EVER. If you even THINK about fucking with the billions of 32 families and their employees? I don't think so. Take your money and retire, Jimmy.

So, have you seen the ending? Were the offsides not legit? Believe it was the 2nd one where I couldn't tell if they were reacting to the ball moving, but other than that - the first and 3rd offsides calls looked warranted.

Not a biography but if you want to read between the lines there's an interesting part in this book Arrowhead Home Of The Chiefs, about Lamar sending Steadman to do what he could to get the completion of Arrowhead back on track as there was a huge construction strike going on in KC.
