Uh oh...

You are an expert in offensive play calling...it's what you do for a living at the highest level. 0 times out of a hundred do you pass in a situation where you essentially have the game won and just need to drain the clock. Matty "Jesuit Ice" took a 12 yard sack and put his team out of FG range....he is a Boston College alum...refs did the rest, ignoring a facemask penalty while enforcing a hold.

Per ESPN

" Leading 28-20 with 4:40 remaining, the Falcons had a first down at the Patriots' 22-yard line and a great opportunity to make it a two-score game. The Patriots had found their rhythm on offense, but it's debatable whether they would have had enough time to score twice.

The Falcons' playcalling at that point was, well, unexpected -- and that's being kind to offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan (what he meant was "that was totally ****ed up"). They missed a huge opportunity to seal the game.

Shanahan called a pass on second and third downs. The first resulted in a 12-yard sack, and the second was overturned by a holding penalty. On the next play -- third-and-33! -- Shanahan called another pass that fell incomplete. The Falcons lost 23 yards on two plays, were forced to punt and drained only 1:10 off the clock.

Had the Falcons simply run three times -- even if they failed to gain a single yard -- kicker Matt Bryant would have been in position for a quite reasonable 39-yard field goal attempt. In his career, Bryant is 31-for-32 on field goals of 40 yards or shorter in the fourth quarter or overtime, according to research from Micah Adams of ESPN Stats & Information. "

Remember in the off-season when I said it was the "Brady revenge tour"...and he would get a kick back for throwing the Broncos game....yeah.

All you have to do...is notice patterns that are out of the ordinary. Like very strange play calling in critical junctures or Cam Newton refusing to recover a fumble...or Brady ignoring a wide-open Gronk on a 2 point conversion...or 3, third down conversions by penatly in a single drive.

394 times in NFL history has a team had that big of a lead at that juncture in a game...and 3 times has there been a comeback. THREE....enjoy your fake sport.
Yep, that was horrible.

Most oddsmakers make #Broncos second or third best AFC bet to win Super Bowl 52, behind Patriots, and, in cases, #Steelers. @DenverChannel pic.twitter.com/PJcuULAlh1

Oddly horrible. Suspiciously horrible. Couldn't script it worse than that horrible.

Broncos are the only team to knock the Pats (Belly/Brady/mCdevil group) out of the Playoffs 3 times.

I like our chances playing them in Denver. Not so much in NE.

The Broncos had to go through the toughest franchise in the NFL to get to their last 2 SBs.

There is no other franchise that can hang with the cheating pats.

Watching the SB last night only made the SB50 win that much more special knowing we had to go through the toughest road to the SB last year.

Peyton is gone, you can pretty much forget about beating NE.

Hell, the Chiefs whipped your ass twice.

With Alex Smith.

Meditate.

It's so cute to see KrammedDickinhismouth and Knowshit try to act like their Superfarce was legit. It's like a child believing in Santa Claus or the Easter Bunny. They will hold on to that fantasy forever if they can.

#Broncos' Brock Olivo impressive guy. Speaks with authority and passion for special teams. @DenverChannel

— Troy Renck (@TroyRenck) February 7, 2017

Olivo said Toub "involved him on a daily basis" ... taught him the difference "between teaching and learning."

— Andrew Mason (@MaseDenver) February 7, 2017

Olivo said Toub was "very proud" ... compared it to a father sending his son off on a scholarship.

I like how Knowmo is telling us all about our own coach, like he's some guy they promoted from their own team.

Denver interviewed a dozen people for their ST Coordinator position, and they chose Olivo. When Dave Toub leaves to coach Indy next year, you're gonna wish we hadn't.
