Media Center>Early-mid 90s music suggestions
GayFrogs 01:20 PM 09-12-2020
Any 90s kids who find themselves coming back to this music all the time like I do? This thread is just to list albums that aren't incredibly famous like Dirt, Nevermind, Ten, etc...I want to find more obscure gems from this era. Any suggestions?

During the mid 90s (what I remember post-raves)....I got a lot of free CDs, working with alternative radio guys, etc.

Went through a brit-pop phase before discovering electronica. Stone Roses (especially for you bassists out there) were a blast:

The album this was on was and still IS a staple of mine, and it fits perfectly within the early 90's parameters... 1993

BTW, I just noticed Audioslave as a suggestion. Some of you all are getting your 90s mixed up with your 00s.
Love this album and still put it on from time to time.

Good suggestion.

I haven’t even thought about that song in a long time. Great tune.
I think of a very different music and band when I think Machine Head.

Burn My Eyes is from 1994, that counts for your request I think.

Hopefully you know about Deftones, but this is the song that got me into them, and their music to me has just evolved over the years.

I missed that one but caught them at the Daily Grind in KC. I may have the flyer somewhere.

Deftones kicks ass. Most of my friends who like the same kind of music I do aren't into Deftones at all (I think mostly because of Chino and his "style"), but I cant' get enough of the band. They're gold. And the collab w/ Maynard? Perfection.
