Nzoner's Game Room>Anyone here doing the E-Cig / Vape thing?
pr_capone 03:05 AM 11-17-2013
Thanks to my vape, I've had only one single cigarette in the past 3 weeks. I have zero cravings for them and I feel considerably better. In fact, I still have about 5 smokes left in a pack and just can't see myself smoking those... don't want to.

Even better... 5ml of juice, which costs $5, lasts me about 2 weeks meaning that I am spending less in the long run. I only smoked, at most, a pack a week... but still.

I tried the Blu E-Cigs but they were terrible. Trying to "smoke" out of one of those was like trying to take a hit off a joint that was rolled WAY to tight.

I'm using an eGo-V v2 mega battery with variable voltage control with a gravity tank.

I have Vamo 4 mods for sale. I used it to stop smoking cigs but works well for most. I have 2 extras, NIB. They are open but never used.

Good to know. So, here is my question (and this isn't meant to be derogatory towards your post; I certainly appreciate it): what are the odds vapers got it right on the first try with Kanthal?

In the video he is says that Kanthal is a mix of iron, aluminum and chromium. He points out that these materials have been used in cookware for a very long time-mainly because they do perform well when heated up. They don't "leech" or allow material to be passed into the product that is being heated by them. From the sounds of it a lot of thought went into Kanthal to make the wire as safe and durable for vaping as you can get.

After a bit of googling, Kanthal was invented about 85 years ago with the purpose of providing heat through resistance. It appears to be somewhat of an industry standard for resistance heating so that's probably why it has been used in atomizers. It has proven to be effective and safe.

I'm super jealous! I'd love a setup like that, but the local shops are selling the Coolfire 4 for $60, and that's too much. I guess I'll have to search for an online vendor. Anyone have any recommendations?

http://www.myvaporstore.com/Innokin-.../ink-cf401.htm

Coolfire for $37.95 and the Triton for $34.95. That's under $75 for the mod AND the tank, plus shipping and handling.

Thanks! At that price I could also get the Ego One for in-car use/travel use. The Ego One is $75 at the nearest shop.

Wouldn't the Joytech Ego One tank work with that battery as well (it's listed as a cheaper option for tanks)?

Yes, the Coolfire 4 is well within the range for an Ego One tank and has a compatible connection (510). I don't know what the maximum rating (watts/volts) is for the tank but it will work.

Congrats, dude. Having a great battery that suits your needs is one of the best feelings in the world. Be warned: you will be looking for the next best thing soon. I told myself I was content; 4 mods later, I am still looking this stuff up.

I'm still staying away from the nickel temperature control atomizers. I wouldn't recommend a temp control mod as of right now. No biggie though, lots and lots of choices out there.
