Overreaction is commonplace.
I would guess the party elders are happy as clams to be rid of him. You have to wonder if the next demagogue who tries to step up will meet with the same fate as enemies of the Clintons. [Reply]

He knows what few here will admit, even the so called moderates. Letting an attack on the Capitol go unpunished would turn a lot of people against the GOP.. [Reply]

By hook......or crook.....they will never give up power.
Adding new liberal states. Stacking the courts. Whatever it takes.
If Republicans go along with the impeachment of Trump......they are done!

Interesting.
Dong, I don't want to speak for theoldcoach, but allow me to speak for myself and a lot of others (including yourself I think)...
The current Republican voters are a rag-tag of coalitions of various interests and goals. I, myself, am NOT a Republican. But I generally vote R because they are closest to my beliefs.
Trump is not now nor never was 'my guy'. But I voted the lesser of 2 evils. If a sizeable chunk of establishment R's decide to railroad a duly elected President (who is on his way out anyways) they are effectively telling me they don't really care if I vote or not.
