Mitch McConnell is said to support Trump impeachment

NEW: McConnell believes Trump committed impeachable offenses, believes the attack on Capitol gives Rs a chance to purge the president

and...

McCarthy has asked colleagues if he should urge Trump to resign, is open to a censure

To try to remove his stink from their pores. To disown him.
To try to trick people into thinking they never enabled him for 3.9 years.

He does. He knows what his donors want.

The White House is expecting roughly two dozen defections among Republicans who will vote to support impeachment, a senior administration official said https://t.co/wOovOn6ZyO

The point is they don't ever want him to be able to run again or have anything to do with the GOP, which is really the GOPe/Donor Class, same as the Democrat Donor Class. They're the stupid party because it was Trump that got many of them re-elected. Just like Romney said, they want to make it so no outsider can ever run again. So it's also a message to any aspiring outsider.

Ronna McDaniel was renewed to head the RNC even though she's incompetent. Never trusted her.

Yep! Plus a lot of these politicians have stock in Apple, Amazon and other Big Tech who are in bed with China. So ultimately it's about them making money—including plenty of Democrats. They are a corporate wing too.

Heard on my car radio that turnout in Georgia was done by 30% because voters felt demoralized about it being worth voting if it was just going to have so many irregularities. So that's an example of the stupidity of Mitch who got even his own kind of R lose.

Trump being a miserable lying douchebag and sorry excuse for a human being should have been good enough reason. But his failed election coup gives them a way to justify flushing the turd. It’s a win win for the GOP. They get rid of him and the party gets to save face with anyone who is not a trumptard, even after supporting his fascist behavior for four years.

Since Newt, the Democrats had a majority in Congress for forever before he got elected speaker.

🚨FEC reports will show which corp pacs donated to which campaigns.

January 6 will be a bright line that I suspect the media, shareholders, employees and supporters of democracy will focus on. https://t.co/IyLAepqqrt

Lol I hate correcting you. It started in January 1995 after the 94 midterm elections. But I know what you meant.
