Washington DC and The Holy Land>****Trump Impeachment II: Electric Boogaloo****
banyon 01:54 PM 01-08-2021
Democrats plan to introduce articles of impeachment as early as Monday
From CNN's Lauren Fox, Manu Raju and Jamie Gangel

House Democrats are currently planning to introduce articles of impeachment against President Trump as soon as Monday, according to multiple sources familiar with the matter.

That could set up a vote in the House early to the middle of next week. Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi has not explicitly said when this will go to the floor.

This would be the second time the House has unveiled articles of impeachment against President Trump.

In December 2019, the House impeached Trump on charges of abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. The Senate acquitted him on both charges last February.

GOP big money donors know that Trump is likely to hinder the GOP as long as he is involved and they end up spending more good money after bad if Trump is involved in any way.

Not sure why any Trump supporter cares about what Congress does over the next 2 weeks?
Trump could affect GOP primaries though. His sons have already said they're going to primary some of them. Trump's building a movement to outlast him. He's not young anymore. Populism is rising around the world because most people don't like what they're getting. If the Democrats were smart they'd also do a house cleaning and stop offering socialism as their solutions, and the same globalism of the GOPe where politicians are getting rich, and lockdowns that are smoking small businesses. There are better ideas out there.

Welcome to Soviet style politics.

This might legitimately be the Republican's only chance at not having a shiatshow primary in what might be an open election.

It may be time for McConnell to 'lose control' of the party and let this happen.
Dems should want him eligible. Reps probably don't want him around.

Mitch isn't in the House, and I don't think he's much for BFFs.

Just one correction, the movement predated Trump and will continue without him.

All we are watching right now is the people in DC are in a state of panic, they’ll screw up and turn Trump into a messiah.

The average red voter can expect the same.
^Dumbass acts like there wasn't a riot at and inside the Capitol two days ago to prevent the certification of the election winner

"But what about what you said before the riot?????" :-)

This is absolutely and unequivocally, false.

Conservatives haven't been "punished", as there are tens of millions of conservatives on Facebook, Twitter and other social media sites.

This is payback for exposing congress’s corruption. When he called them out for their pork bill it was just a matter of time before congress critters turned on him. That’s the swamp.

This impeachment would be the same. it would not be a cold-blooded strategy, it is more like, they believe in something and not impeaching him would be disloyal to honoring their beliefs.
If you mean that they felt his behavior was so egregious that they felt they just couldn't ignore it, I agree. Nancy avoided entertaining impeachment for quite a while. After Trump's "perfect" phone call, she couldn't avoid it.

If I had to guess, I think Biden would prefer she not go forward with it.

Beautiful perfect move from that cunt who withheld benefits from unemployed quarantined citizens for months solely and explicitly in order to win an election.

Another thing I've said over and over forever. There isn't anything Trump does that #resistance doesn't come along and prove themselves even worse.

Fucking idiot is gonna vindicate every single pothole he steps in. Love her so much.

LOL, you mean when he called them out for passing the stuff in his own budget request?

Disagree. He incited a terrorist attack on his own government, including his own VP.

They can't let that stand because they are short on time.

After all, ACB was confirmed in like a week, I know they are capable of moving fast.
