You don't assess whether people committed racist acts, or acted with racial animus in mind. You assess whether 'the system' however fair or impartial otherwise apportioned everything equally to everyone in operation.

Problem is, the moral approbation on treating people different based on skin color is fundamentally more solid and well-reasoned than the moral proposition that everyone should get the same amount of everything no matter what.

The philosophical foundation of the Electoral College is the federalist principle that states retain some sovereignty and that the federal authority to govern must gather its support from all regions and from a consensus drawn from and defined by the entirety of states, not population or population centers.

Since that foundation was established, minorities have gravitated to urban areas while the white majority remained dispersed throughout the nation. And now the argument is, no matter how we got here, disparate impact is fungible with overt racism.

They want to moral approbation of overt or explicit racism, while tackling the differences that accumulate benignly through free choices.
The black America that have gravitated to those population centers are not stepping up to solve their problems.

Armed with that 6th grade Civics knowledge, that makes her point completely off base, incoherent, and full of shit (FOS).
None of that is controversial, and I agree with all of it.

None of that addresses her point.

Then its not racist. It does not inherently treat any state differently other than population and thus, she has no point. It's baseless. Spurious, inauthentic, not genuine.

The facts are these...in the vote for the President....Wyoming has 3 votes...Cally gots the 55. 55 > 3 by a large margin...don't matter what color of anything, socio-economic status, or life decisions.

A growing source of discontent is, as I see it.

Minorities took a great deal of inspiration and resolve from LEGISLATIVE efforts at the federal level to assure equality.

And the misguided message they took from it is two-fold.

First, that this is only possible at the federal level. That all social interaction from the individual, to neighborhood to community to state to nation to globe must and can only take its cues from a univeral federal mandate.

Second, that the federal government itself is a monolith. The legislature has largely abandoned all interaction and activity and is just a bunch of mouthpieces either deifying or demonizing the presidency. They cravenly upbraid the president for failing to demand they do what they themselves were elected to do.

Also, they along with a substantial contingent of the rest of the electorate have moved into this demand for federal government that tells them comfortable lies. They don't want consensus so much as they want someone they personally relate to who will tell them everything is fine. No matter how bad things are, they'll believe they're fine if they 'like' dear leader. And no matter how good things are, they'll never believe they're fine if they don't.

We need to take a lot of strength out of the mythos of both the federal government and the presidency in particular. It's not your mom or dad, and we're not a family. They make the rules that everyone has to live under and enforce them fairly, . . . the end. They don't love you, and they're not going to kiss your knee when you fall.

Invest in your community. Advocate in your state. Make your immediate surroundings comport with your personal comfort. Stop demanding that the entire nation conform to a singular standard and that the president be the father figure you've always yearned for.

Indicative of our weak Educational system. Basic facts about country and process are lost on a lot of young adults.

By design.

:-)

And sadly, just another prime example of the impact of decades of fatherless kids.

Broken homes, broke communities.

One generation away from losing it all.

She’s 110% right: white votes have more proportionate weight.

She also shouldn’t even be in America. This isn’t her country, her peoples run shitholes - they should fix their OWN countries before coming here and demanding white man care for and feed them.

Nobody is entitled to have access to white males. It’s not a birthright for AOC.

The left is going to lose it after the 2020 election and Trump is still the president and lost the pop. vote by 5 mil plus... They may even consider a civil war. :-)

All anyone needs to do to gain this supposed voter weight advantage for themselves is move to Montana or some other rural state. Move out of the cities and away from the coasts if you don't like it there.

It is the worst form of govt, full of contention and votes itself largesse without respect for property rights until we're a perfect equality and actually don't last long either. Madison even said this in one of his Federalist Papers. The left wants to overthrow our system because it's in the way of their socialism and leveling us all down to a perfect equality where we're all equally poor and miserable. They're the scam.
Agreed. And they complain about Trump challenging our norms and guardrails.
