I feel like we're overrating Damien williams just a bit. I like what he brings to the table. But he's not a kareem hunt back where he's your only workhorse. Andy Reid has always found ways to get multiple backs lots of touches as a runner and pass catcher and I don't think this will be much different. Hill, Kelce, and Watkins will see the most receptions followed by Robinson.
Hardman will be eased into it. He’s barely played WR, will play ST’s, and have some designed plays to get his acclimated and eased in to a bigger role.
It takes WR’s at least a year to learn this offense, which is why Watkins should “break out” this year, and why he started out so slow. His presence still had to be accounted for, which will be the same for Hardmans speed. He will likely have a few easy TD’s at first because I’m sure streaking towards the end zone will be a common route for him early.
Pringle is kind of a easy but not likely choice because there’s only one ball and a lot of guys to receive it in front of him. Robinson will have first dibs on breakout, followed by Hardman then Pringle. [Reply]

Andy Reid found a way to get tyreek involved right away and he came in with a fraction of experience at WR. It doesn't take a ton of WR skill to play the DAT (or better example... Albert wilson) role. I'd bet they use him a ton as a gadget guy. [Reply]

I’m also going to go out on a limb and assume our offense is now at a more advanced stage than it was Hills rookie year, and a little better stocked. You have mentioned a lot of good possibilities here.
Damien Williams really fits what Andy Reid does with the RB in his offense. Last year during the regular season, Williams only had 3 starts, so his numbers should really jump this season.
Juan Thornhill learning from Steve Spagnuolo, Dave Merritt, Sam Madison, and Tyrann Mathieu could be great.
Charvarius Ward could really do well for the same reason.
BUT, Buehler445 says TE2 and I will agree with that.
Travis Kelce is coming off ankle surgery and there is no need to push him so the backup TEs will get plenty of opportunities during the preseason practices and games.
NFL teams will have their hands full trying to defend Mahomes, Kelce, Williams, Hill, and Watkins, so a second TE is going to be drawing the weakest coverage so this will allow yards and easier TDs.
Blake Bell, Deon Yelder, David Wells, Neal Sterling, Nick Keizer, Jody Fortson, and John Lovett will all be given chances to earn that spot but I think Blake Bell will win out
In a 5 year NFL career at TE, Blake has 50 games and 12 starts for San Francisco, Minnesota, and Jacksonville. Bell has been used primarily as a blocking TE, so he only has 30 catches, 357 yards.
Bell has the natural size at 6-6, 253, arm length of 33 1/8, and hand size of 10 inches that teams look for in a TE.
Last year Demetrius Harris had 25 throws to him which he caught 48%. The year before that, he had 35 throws to him and a 51.4% catch rate.
Blake Bell will have a break out season with 30 throws to him, catching 21 of them for a 70% catch rate, 250 yards and 4 TDs.
Maybe not a big deal for KC’s stats overall but going from a 48% catch rate to a 70% catch rate could be a win. [Reply]

Pringle and dieter are competing with our 3 receivers. Hardman is set for a specific role which will put him on the field a decent amount. And unlike Pringle, he will be targeted specifically for gadget plays. I could see him running around pre snap, jet sweeps, all verts with him slipping underneath the coverage.
I disagree. We need that kind of gadget guy more than ever. Teams are starting to shadow tyreek pre snap. They are daring the Chiefs to throw short. And Reid will punish them with mecole. The guy is going to be absolutely lethal in space. [Reply]
